Der weitere Tunnelverlauf besteht aus zwei eingleisigen R\u00f6hren, in denen mit Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 250 Stundenkilometern gefahren werden kann. Alle 500 Meter sind die zwei R\u00f6hren durch Querschl\u00e4ge verbunden. Die Tunnelrohre werden gleichzeitig auch vom Ostportal aus mit einer Tunnelbohrmaschine gebaut.   <\/li>\n<li>Der Tunnel besteht aus 54.000 Betonfertigteilen, sogenannten Segmenten, die in unmittelbarer N\u00e4he der Baustelle hergestellt werden. Insgesamt werden rund 600 Bauarbeiter und rund 80 Ingenieure, Geologen und Kaufleute an der Fertigstellung beider Tunnel arbeiten. <\/li>\n<li>Beide Tunnelbohrmaschinen sind etwa 120 Meter lang, wiegen etwa 2300 Tonnen und haben einen Durchmesser von 10,82 Metern. Die Antriebsleistung betr\u00e4gt 4.400 Kilowatt pro Maschine. Die beiden Tunnelbohrmaschinen ben\u00f6tigen etwa eineinhalb Jahre, um zwei 8.176 Meter lange Tunnelr\u00f6hren auszugraben.
